A personal look at things, by KikiTheBucket
When I was working at the Asylum 3 Con(UK) in May this year, I had the unexpected pleasure of being pulled away to help guard the stage with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki right behind me.
It was at that time when one of you Crazy Buckets in the audience asked if the boys do any DIY. Perturbed as they were (and also deaf it seemed) they kept asking back what the person had just said, while you, that person kept repeating “DIY, D.I.Y”. Even though you had an accent and the Y sounded more like “whay” or something, it was not that hard to understand from where I sat but maybe the blinding stagelights block your ears, I will never know.
Anyways, at some point I asked myself if Jared was just being thick for the fun of it (I know I would if I was him, just because I could get away with it and still be loved) was so close of turning around and offer my assitance by shouting “DIY! GODMANIT YOU BIG SASQUATCH YOU! DO IT YOURSELF!” – but I played this over in my head first and thought no. Not good. Let them have their moment.
So eventually they got it but the answers was rather boring. It would have been a lot more fun if someone had asked if they knit. Yes, like old ladies do. Knitting. Plain old Wool Wrestling. Imagine their faces then!
“What?”
“Knit! Do ya knit, mate?”
“Do I what? DIY?”
“No! Knit! If ya Knittin’ for Xmas!”
“Do yay whay? Knit? What’s a KNEE-TIN? Does that hurt?”
“OH GODDAMNIT YOU BIG ….” and so son. We take it the answer would be No to Knittn‘.
Nevertheless, some of you Crazy Buckets is knittin’ for real and not too badly may I just add! I found these shots of a bloodthirsty Sam Winchester Knitt-Doll on flickr and really like the details of those blood drips and the (a new word I learned today thanks to Calena) Hand of Icepap…Shishkebabb….Ikebana…the Hand of Something-That-Makes-You-Puke-Up-Demon-Vomit…
Nice.
Anyways, it is pretty cool what some people come up with. I have seen other DIY’s projects along the lines of dolls and someone brought a pair of handmade Winchester Teddybears to the Asylum 3 Con which I also admired (and so did Gabriel Tigerman btw) and hopefully this is not the last we’ve seen of dolls.

PS. For all the Dean Girls out there this Sam Knit-Doll would make a great Voodoo Doll! ;D
